First of All, MLH Fellowship is supported by Github 🤩 . I love this platform:)
A world-class internship, as close as your laptop.
The MLH Fellowship is an internship alternative for software engineers. Instead of working on a project for just one company, you’ll contribute to Open Source projects that are used by companies around the world. You’ll collaborate with a group of 10 students under the guidance of a professional mentor whose only job is to help you successfully contribute.
Three Most Important Points that make me delightful about this program
Here are the three points, that makes to me write this post for spreading the words of MLH Fellowship. I loved these points.
Contribute to software that makes it to production.
You’ll work on Open Source projects that companies actually depend on, not a side project that never sees the light of day.
Access to expert mentorship, exactly when you need it.
You’ll have access to a full-time technical mentor whose job is to help you. No more waiting around for your manager.
Designed to be fun, collaborative, & educational from the start.
Remotely doesn’t mean lonely. You’ll get to collaborate with a group of 10 students who are contributing to the same projects that you are.
Some Extra Features of MLH Fellowship
Latest & Greatest Tech: Work with the technologies you care about. We’ll match you with a project that lets you put your skills and interests into practice.

Remote By Design: Being remote isn’t an afterthought. Our program was designed to be global and teach students how to be great remote collaborators.

If someone wants to become a mentor?
Then, You can become a mentor as a Software developer coach
Raise.dev is hiring multiple experienced developers who love to teach. You’ll support a group of early-career software developers as they work on applications in your language of expertise.
Responsibilities include 1-on-1 and 1-to-few mentorship, code review, pair programming, and a dash of community building. The ideal candidate has enough on-the-job problem-solving experience to coach early-career developers, have competency with the language, tools, and libraries of their stack, and have strong communication skills. Individuals who are high-empathy, social, and well-spoken will thrive in this role. You should be ready to enthusiastically teach and implement best practices of software engineering and remote work. While you are focused on helping early-career developers, we will be focused on helping you. Our founder has over a decade of industry experience and has an equally long track record of helping their teammates advance in their careers. We are only accepting candidates able to work full-time at the moment. We will consider part-time candidates for the future.
